Parkett Star

Parkettstar 2021: The best showrooms, concepts and start-up companies

18 prize winners received this honour from publisher SN-Verlagshaus this year, more than ever before in the history of the award.

Even in a year dominated by coronavirus, Parkett Star enjoyed a good reception and was much appreciated by all. Or was it in fact precisely because of this past year? The publisher and judging panel once again honoured companies and firms with one of the industry's major awards. These companies invested a great deal of financial resources with courage and foresight and initiated projects using their organisational talent, creativity and wealth of ideas to raise awareness of the product of hardwood flooring among consumers.

BOEN customers also competed for and won this prestigious prize:

The prize for ‘Best business refit in the trade’ goes to Wernet-Heintz from Völklingen

With much effort and a keen sense of detail, the hardwood floor and legendary screed laying company Wernet-Heintz expanded and renovated its showroom over a period of two years. It is intended to attract the public with high purchasing power to the showroom from Saarbrücken, around 30 km away. The company states that the volume of orders has increased already. Despite the relatively small display in three rooms, the presentation is of high quality and very individual. Large-format samples and creative product design create a positive atmosphere, which is underpinned by cosy furnishings including seating.

The prize for ‘Exemplary digital marketing in the wood trade’ goes to Parketthaus Scheffold from Laupheim

Parketthaus Scheffold can look back on several years of history: founded in 1892, it was originally a sawmill, then became a production company and finally a trading firm. Owner Ulrich Scheffold is passionate about hardwood flooring and the natural product wood. With Nicolai Scheffold, a new generation has now joined the firm and has completed its transformation into a digitalised company. Setting up several hardwood floor brands with their own websites, the expansion of their social media presence and interweaving this with analogue sampling tools, as well as a physical showroom in Munich and Laupheim, were the elements that won over the judging panel.

The prize for ‘Best new building in the construction materials trade’ goes to Lueb + Wolters from Borken

The owning family turned its vision of an innovative building materials centre for the building trade on its 50,000 m2 site into a reality. An attractive floor display measuring over 2,500 m2 and comprising 300 different floor coverings was created. A separate specialist shop where products can be bought and taken away immediately complements the display. Combined with a modern warehouse and logistics centre, the company's offer extends far beyond that of a classic construction materials firm.

Many congratulations to all winners of the Parkett Star 2021!
